Interreg Atlantic Area have this week (Monday 12th December 2022) launched a publication presenting the main results of the 2014-2020 Atlantic Area Programme. The publication, entitled "Delivering results for the Atlantic regions", outlines the main results and activities of the 71 projects funded by the Atlantic Area Programme, achieved from 2017 to date, including those by ProtoAtlantic.
The publication presents the good cooperation work carried out by public authorities, institutions and private companies in applying their potential and joint efforts to strengthen skills, share good practices and create new business opportunities. This has been facilitated and supported by an investment of around €140 million of European funds in the areas of innovation and competitiveness, resource efficiency, territorial risks, and natural and cultural heritage. The publication provides a strong testimony of the importance of the Atlantic Area Programme as an efficient instrument of cohesion policy in the Atlantic regions.
