ProtoAtlantic partner INESC TEC hosted the third regional ProtoAtlantic Blue Growth Policy Round Table on 11th -13th November at the 9th edition of Business2Sea. Business2Sea is an event dedicated to the sea cluster, and was held at the Alfândega Porto Congress Centre. At the 9th edition of the event, INESC TEC highlighted the importance and the potential of TEC4SEA infrastructure, a unique and pioneering platform in Europe, which was designed to support research, development and testing of maritime robotics, telecommunications and detection technologies for monitoring and operations in the marine environment.
The 9th edition of Business2Sea was attended by the Minister of Environment and Climatic Action, José Pedro Matos Fernandes, and the Minister of the Sea, Ricardo Serrão Santos. The ProtoAtlantic Blue Growth Policy Round Table, entitled “Financing the Blue Economy” was held during Workshop 3 of the event, with ProtoAtlantic's key goal of supporting innovative projects and start-ups with activity in the marine sector closely echoing that of TEC4SEA's goals in the support and emergence of more companies with innovative solutions for the sea cluster.
